A cultural institution in Wichita since 1920, The Wichita Center for the Arts is a primary venue for visual and performing arts organizations. The center hosts national and regional exhibitions as well as a permanent collection of fine and decorative arts and offers the perfect scenario for live theatre for adult and children productions.
Wichita Grand Opera
Kansas’ first professional opera company, the Wichita Grand Opera is composed of 64 musicians and 48 singers extending this musical art form to Wichita and the state of Kansas. Regional, National and International performers contribute to the company in its traditional seasons as well as through extension programs such as the Young Artists Apprentice Program and the Resident Artist Program.
Wichita Symphony Orchestra
Revel in the magnificent music and outstanding guest artists at Classical, Pops, Blue Jeans and Sound Waves Concerts performed by the Wichita Symphony Orchestra whose season runs from September through May of each year.
